MonFrigo is built by one developer, Alireza Toghiani Khorasgani. The short version: your food list stays on your phone, there is no account, and nothing is sold or used for advertising.
What stays on your device
Everything you add to MonFrigo (fridge, freezer and pantry items, expiry dates, your shopping list and saved recipes) is stored only on your device. It is not sent to me or anyone else.
What is collected
To keep the app working and improve it, MonFrigo uses Google Firebase to collect a small amount of anonymous data:
- Usage data: simple events such as "item added" or "recipe opened", without the names of your foods.
- Crash and diagnostic data: crash reports and error logs, so bugs can be fixed.
- Device identifier: a random ID generated by the app, used to group reports. It is not linked to your name or Apple ID.
- Approximate region: derived by Firebase from your IP address, at country or city level.
- Feedback: if you send feedback from Settings, your message, the app version, iOS version, device model and language are stored so I can read it. It is sent without your name or email.
None of this data is linked to your identity, and none of it is used for tracking or advertising.
Recipes
To suggest recipes, the names of ingredients you have (for example "spinach") are sent to Spoonacular, a recipe service. No personal information is included. Nutrition values come from USDA FoodData Central.
Notifications
Expiry reminders are scheduled locally on your device. No push server is involved.
Third parties
Google Firebase (privacy) and Spoonacular (privacy). Data is never sold or shared with anyone else.
Children
MonFrigo is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your choices
You can delete all your data by deleting the app. To ask about or delete feedback or diagnostic data, email alirezatoghyiani@gmail.com.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
